Do Not Be Shaken — God Is Still in Control.
Jesus stands before Pilate, Matthew 24 calls us to endurance, and the church is reminded not to panic when culture, leadership and the nations feel unstable.
We start with Jesus before Pilate in John 19, where authority is described as something given from above, and we follow that thread into the pressure points of our own moment: leadership, fear, truth, and what it means to live as Christians when the culture feels unstable.
From there we zoom out to the global church. We talk about the persecuted church and why some of the strongest Christian revival stories are coming from places many people assume are closed to the Gospel. We reflect on how the message of Jesus Christ keeps moving through borders, censorship, and intimidation, and why Matthew 24 does not call us to panic but to stay awake, watchful, and difficult to deceive.
We also wrestle with spiritual compromise and the real-world pull of multi-faith spaces, using Matthew 7:6 as a blunt warning about guarding what is sacred. The service closes with communion, prayer for healing and mental health, and a call to keep praying for the UK and for a safe landing for the nation.

What If Church Is Not The Goal. Jeremiah 33:3
Jeremiah 33:3 becomes both comfort and challenge as we ask what it means to call on God when life feels boxed in, watched, or worn down.
Jeremiah 33:3 is either a comfort or a challenge, depending on what we have been leaning on: "Call to me, and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." In this service we sit with that promise and ask what it means for real life in the UK when you feel boxed in, watched, or worn down.
We talk about hidden treasures from Isaiah 45:3 and why God often meets us away from religious show, not because church buildings are the problem, but because performance can drown out the quiet voice of Scripture and the Spirit.
We get honest about spiritual abuse and control, the kind that uses fear, status, and "God told me" language to push people around. The simple conviction running through the service is that God calls us to the Kingdom, and He speaks to His people directly when we call on His name.
Along the way we reflect on prayer for biblical Israel, the pressure many feel about public faith, the danger of swapping dependence on God for politics, corporate identity, or mere education, and the invitation to move beyond second-hand belief into a real encounter with Jesus.
The service closes around the Lord’s table, remembering Jesus as the bread of life and leaving with practical encouragement to get back into the Word, keep calling, and keep walking in obedience.
Service notes
Call to me, and I will answer
Use these notes to follow the main teaching points and share the service with someone who is seeking the Father’s heart in the secret place.
- Hidden treasures in Isaiah 45:3 are found through Scripture, not spectacle.
- Jeremiah’s confinement becomes a picture of modern restriction and isolation.
- The Kingdom of God stands above religious systems, celebrity culture, politics and status.
- Spiritual abuse and manipulation are challenged where leaders claim control of God’s voice.
- Prayer for biblical Israel, public faith, and the refusal of fear are brought honestly before God.
- Thomas reminds us not to live only on second-hand belief, but to seek a real encounter with Christ.
- Endurance, stripping back, and God’s timing matter more than instant fixes.
- Education, money, corporate life, politics and religion can all become spiritual limiters when they replace dependence on God.
- The upper room in Acts shows ordinary men and women waiting in obedience, without hype.
- The persecuted church reminds us that God moves powerfully where following Jesus costs something.
- Communion brings us back to Jesus, the bread of life, and to God’s path like Elijah.
