Thursday Prayer Meeting
Whatever your week has looked like, there is a place for you here.
Join us every Thursday at Elim Church, Swanley for an open and welcoming time of prayer, encouragement and seeking God together.
Drop in for 10 minutes or stay for the full two hours. There is no pressure and everyone is welcome.
What is the Thursday Prayer Meeting?
The Thursday Prayer Meeting is a simple, welcoming space where people can come together to pray, be still, encourage one another and seek God.
It is non-denominational, meaning you do not have to belong to Elim, Daily Prayer UK or any particular church denomination or tradition to attend.
Whether you have followed Jesus for many years, have recently found faith, are searching for answers, are going through a difficult season, or simply need somewhere peaceful to sit and pray, you are welcome.
Drop in for 10 minutes.
Stay for two hours.
There is no membership, no booking and no expectation that you stay for the whole meeting. Simply come through the door and stay for as long as you need.
What can I expect?
We want the prayer meeting to feel peaceful, welcoming and comfortable from the moment you walk through the door.
A Warm Welcome
Come in, take a seat and settle in at your own pace.
Prayer
Pray quietly yourself or join with others. There is no pressure to pray aloud.
Encouragement
A place where people can support, encourage and stand alongside one another.
Tea & Coffee
Tea and coffee are available while you are with us.
Stay As Long As You Need
Come for 10 minutes, 30 minutes, one hour or the full two hours.
No Pressure
Sometimes you may simply want somewhere peaceful to sit quietly before God. That is absolutely fine.
You can come with questions.
You can come worried.
You can come thankful.
You can come tired.
You can come needing prayer.
You can simply come.
What can we pray about?
Whatever you are carrying, you do not have to carry it alone.
Pray. Encourage. See Change.
Prayer brings people together and reminds us that we do not have to walk through life alone.
Pray Together
There is something powerful about people taking time to seek God together.
Encourage One Another
Prayer is also about standing alongside one another through good days and difficult ones.
See Change
We pray believing that God hears, God cares and God can work in circumstances that can seem impossible.
Your first prayer meeting?
That’s absolutely fine.
You don’t need to worry about knowing what to do.
